A happy and vibrant day centre in Camden is looking for a confident, sociable, and enthusiasticEarly Years Practitionersto add value to their supportive, caring, and fun team. You will be supporting childrenfrom the ages of 0-7years old, whilst working closely with families and colleaguesto deliver high-quality early years education.
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment for children to play and learn. The successful candidates will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of the children.
Hours advertised below are fixed during school term-time:
Mon Fri, 09:00 - 15:00
Responsibilities:
- Assist children with daily activities, including personal hygiene, feeding, and mobility, based on their individual needs and abilities.
- Provide personalized care and support to the childrenalways ensuring their safety and well-being.
- To ensure all activities are set up with appropriate toys and equipment before each session begins, ensuring a risk assessment is completed and updated regularly.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment where children can build social skills, confidence, and independence.
- Plan and facilitate engaging and age-appropriate activities, educational games, and sensory experiences.
Requirements:
* MUST have an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care OR Children & Young People
* MUST have at least 2years of UK experience working within a children's nursery or in early childcare.
* MUST hold a DBS registered on the update service or willing to apply for a new one
* MUST have a good level of English (written & verbal) skills
* MUST be happy to provide personal care
* MUST be flexible to work throughout the week
